What we collect
Hokm itself has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts — there's nothing to identify you by in the first place. We don't operate any servers and don't collect anything ourselves.
The app does include one third-party SDK, Google AdMob, used to show ads. See "Advertising" below for what that involves.
Advertising
Hokm shows a full-screen ad at natural breaks in play — after your team wins a hand — served through Google AdMob. Showing an ad requires a network request to Google, which can involve device identifiers and other information Google uses to select and measure ads. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not ours.
On iOS, the first time an ad would be shown you're asked for App Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, Hokm and AdMob don't use your device's advertising identifier for cross-app tracking, and you'll still see ads — just less tailored ones.
We don't receive or see any of this data ourselves; it goes directly between your device and Google.
What stays on your device
Hokm saves a small amount of information locally, using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults). It never leaves your device:
- Game statistics — lifetime totals like games and hands won or lost, time played, and how you did as Hâkem.
- Your card-back preference — which design you last picked in Settings.
This information is tied to the app, not to you personally, and is erased automatically if you delete Hokm from your device.
Children's privacy
Hokm itself collects no personal information from any user, of any age. The app does now serve ads via Google AdMob; if you're a parent evaluating this app for a child, Google's privacy policy explains how it handles data in its ad network.
Changes to this policy
If Hokm's data practices ever change — for example, if a future update adds an online feature — this page will be updated first, with a new effective date above, before that update ships.
